The location is stunning, as the lodge is situated inside a huge land with ponds and hills where several types of wild animals roam freely (zebras, buffalo, eland, ostriches, etc.). Our room was spacious and very comfortable - the only downside being that the shower is literally inside the bedroom with no door to it, so water gets splashed outside unfortunately - and the high, king-sized bed was the most comfortable we've tried in South Africa.
There was a bathtub in the open bathroom area which we never used.
Before we arrived, we got a bit lost on the way as Google Maps took us on dead-end roads in the nearby town covered with tall wetlands grass, but thanks to Lulu and her sister who helped us on the phone and waited for us on the street in town, we were able to make it safely to the lodge, albeit very late at night! Thankfully, Christa came to pick us up after we parked at the gate since our car wouldn't have made it on the muddy road leading up to the lodge. Christa was so helpful during our stay, advising us on where to exchange money and helping us with the roads to take.
A highlight of our stay at Wetlands Game Lodge was actually the food, especially the heavenly OUT-OF-THIS-WORLD fillet that melts in your mouth that was skillfully prepared by Chef Denzel. Dinner was waiting for us when we checked in around 10:30PM, and the fillet was still unbelievable! We ordered the same meat the next day, and we were pleased with the same quality. Also, Chef Denzel prepared a surprise cake for my husband as it was his birthday and Valentine's Eve as well, and the cake was excellent, too!
Breakfast was decent and the latte was a great addition. We tried the couple massage with two ladies and were very pleased. We highly recommend this exceptional lodge and we hope to return soon!

People working at Crocodile Kruger Safari Lodge are very nice and helpfull. The food was very good and healthy. The lodge was weel equiped. The bed cumfortable. We really felt at home. Plenty of animals to be seen in the immediate surrounding. Nice view on the Crocodile river ans Kruger Park. Good restaurants very close to the lodge. A spar supermarket 15mn drive.
The safari's were incredible. The atmosphere in the lodge is incredible, just as the frinedliness of the staff.
Location is scenic, peaceful and private Staff was genuinely friendly and helpful. Food was pleasant. Portions are plentiful compared to other hotels/lodges.
Everything was perfect! Terry and Trudy the hosts are very friendly. They are very nice, warmful, welcome people. They have their own Chef: Eddy, who is as great as them and cook wonderfully. The room is amazing, very clean (with own swimming pool). The lodge is located in a safe giant park where sweet and peaceful animals come to greet you. Yolanda the cleaner is doing a wonderful job. To finish we thank our safari guide: Dirk for his patience and making our Safari a dreamy day. We will definitely come back.
Immaculate Gardens and well maintained facility. Great view over the river into Kruger. Animals from Kruger come over the river into the Lodges facilities. The on site day spa was excellent as well!
Its location; the camaraderie among the guests; simple meals; the friendliness of Geyser and his wife; lack of television inside the rooms make it a perfect outing not cluttered by having to watch television; for animal lovers it is a perfect spot from which to watch wild and animals across the river; through the safaris organized by the lodge, you blend with nature and when you have to leave you feel like you leave nature behind.
The highlights were the location of the Train above the Sabi River - unbeatable! Beautiful, well positioned pools, decks, bars and chill areas provide a world class safari and luxurious atmosphere. The food offering at all meals was the best we have experienced at any five star game lodge in South Africa - exceptional! Special dietary requirements are particularly well catered for and the all inclusive drinks policy is a bonus. Staff customer orientation is outstanding - all guest requests were accommodated with enthusiasm.
