Themba (chef) prepared the best meal of the 40 day tour for my wife! The game viewing stands were fun and a breakfast visit from the herd of Sable Antelopes was awesome. If you are within 200km of this lodge then GO HERE and make your stay for at least two nights (I wish we had). This will be mandatory stay on our next trip to RSA, and hopefully in warmer days

For the rooms and suites, breakfast and dinner is served at Naries Namakwa in the hotel’s manor house, which is classically decorated with red curtains and chandeliers. Meal options, for the self-catering cottages can be arranged for a surcharge. We’ve stayed in a mountain hut which is very unique and a stunning view. Inside the hut is every nicely decorated. Loads of hiking trails where we’ve seen an antilop. We have a great gin and tonic meeting other guest while watching the sunset

Can be used by campers for short or long stays. Well laid out room with all amenities for cooking and braaiing, indoor and outdoor showering and comfortable sleeping. The hosts were full of information but also left us to our privacy. The kitchen provided a great dinner and a very sumptuous breakfast.

A barbecue is available on site and both hiking and fishing can be enjoyed within close proximity of the lodge. The stillness and vastness were amazing and the stars at night simply breathtaking. The hosts went above and beyond to make our stay so wonderfully comfortable and pleasant. It was really hot but we found refuge on the patio underneath the thatch roof or retreated to our cool bedroom. The outdoor shower was a treat but a little corrugated iron plunge pool would have been a great bonus ;) We were very grateful that the other guests left and we were able to use the swimming pool that belonged to the other little house on the property.
