George
The lodge provides guests with a terrace, mountain views, a seating area, satellite flat-screen TV, a fully equipped kitchen with a fridge and a dishwasher, and a private bathroom with shower and free toiletries. Some units feature a balcony and/or a patio with river views. The natural beauty of the area, the wildlife and the aesthetics of the cabins made this a truly memorable experience.
Albertinia
Each room and chalet at Garden Route Game Lodge offers either views of the mountains or the valley. They are elegantly decorated with thatched roofs and wooden furniture. All of them have TVs with digital channels and a safe. This was our first safari, we are a family of 4 with two kids aged 2 and 5. The game lodge is extremely family friendly and amazing for kids. They thought of everything from the colouring pen to the couch next to the restaurant with the TV to allow the parents to have a peaceful dinner. The pool is heated and wonderful. The staff is great, you have a dedicated waiter fine you and a dedicated ranger, it feels like a butler service. The most amazing part of course is the game reserve, it's quite big, and during our two night stay and 4 safaris we got to see all the animals. Cherry on the cake was to encounter the cheetah who just hunted his meal for the night. The elephants for some particular reason like a specific space in the reserve, which happens to be not far from the restaurant, so you end up having breakfast every morning with the view in the 2 magnificent elephants. Our ranger, Janel, was amazing, extremely knowledgeable, super friendly and tried her best to make every safari unforgettable. Overall, 1 night is not enough, 2 nights is the minimum to enjoy the stay properly, otherwise if you want a more relaxed time you can go up to 3 nights and do a road trip on the garden route and visit the wonderful beaches around. Thank you to the garden route game lodge team for making our stay with you guys exceptional.

This was by far one of the best places we’ve been to. We stayed in the Safari Lodge and had an absolutely amazing view of the farm and river.
It's was one of the best experiences in this game lodge, an awesome safari trips. I would definitely highly recommend. The room was great, lovely staff, we build a wonderful memories in this place
Beautiful lodging with attention to detail make this a special place. A very spacious house with wrap around veranda. Spotlessly clean with complimentary fresh flowers in the living area, rusks and coffee. Big, fully equipped kitchen. The game farm is set against one mountain range with a view over another. We enjoyed game and bird viewing on foot. The quests to the lodge are the only occupants on the farm. The night skies as only in the Karoo. We will be back
It was exceptionally clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful at all times. Although we've stayed in lodges and B&B's in the past, this was my daughter and her mom's first ever hotel stay and breakfast room experience - I'm happy that it was a good experience for them both.
We were three couples, glamping in three safari tents. It was our first time at this Game Lodge and it was lovely. We have been to other lodges but this one was by far the best.
Nice clean rooms, beautiful poolarea and a super nice pool bar, very good dinner and breakfast and service was great. The safari was really nice as well as the guide. If you are looking for safari in the Cape Town area this was definitely worth the drive. We went to Aquila Game park the week after and Garden route game lodge was much nicer.
Gorgeous lodges (kwena lodge) and amazing safari experience (thanks to our amazing guide Coolman)
