This ryokan is a traditional ryokan right in the middle of the historical town. One of the staff even gave us a tour of the building explaining how it was over a hundred years ago. The food and service was excellent.

This hotel is a wonderful place to stay before visiting the Naoshima Island. I stayed in the dormsection, which was supernice! The rooms and beds are so comfortable, and you will find all the facilities you need, including an in-house restaurant with superb fresh oysters🥳🦪🌊 The staff are very helpful and friendly, and made my stay a total bliss. Would definately stay here again🙏👍

Property was conveniently located in the beautiful Bikan Historical Quarter approximately 10:15 minute walk from the Kurashiki train station. I believe it is the oldest ryokan in town. It was not overly luxurious, however, it was quite clean and comfortable. Our room had a private bath and a wonderful backyard garden. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast and kaiseki dinners were so tasty and very authentic Japanese.
