We had a great stay at Shoraiso for our honeymoon in December. Service is unparalleled and the staff are doing above and beyond to make us feel like home without being intrusive. We love the elephant decor of the room and the beautifully landscaped garden, and the private onsen is definitely the highlight of our trip. Breakfast and dinner are included and the food is just exceptional (very tasty with fresh local ingredient and creative presentation). The location is quite convenient - 45min train from Nagano to Yudanaka station and hotel is just a few min drive away (the hotel can arrange pick up). Monkey park is quite close (around 15min taxi away). Overall we couldn’t recommend this hotel more!

Brilliant. Beautiful rooms, affordable during the green season and right across from an onsen. The staff is kind and helpful. Just great.

Ryokan Sakaya features a sauna and free private parking, and is within 22 km of Ryuoo Ski Park and 33 km of Jigokudani Monkey Park.
