Beautiful location, amazing property with gorgeous sea view

Wow, what a truly wonderful stay at Simply Peace. The accommodation is fabulous, beautiful bungalows, pool, well equipped gym and great bar and restaurant area. But what really made this stay so memorable was the staff. I can’t praise them enough they were simply incredible. Special mention to the general manager, the boys working in the bar and a wonderful driver we had. We felt so welcome and well looked after. Food is simple and fresh and we had delicious cocktails each evening. We also had two wonderful massages. We can’t wait to come back soon to this haven on the lagoon!

Such a great location, close to Tangalle. Big, green property that makes you feel relaxed. You can always find a nice spot to enjoy the shade in hot day, listening sooting sound of waves. Lounge area being one of them. Beautiful pool and vicinity of the beach gives you the choice to enjoy your swim. Room was spacious and inviting, with the big and comfortable bed and nice terrace to enter the garden. A la carte breakfast was amazing, with variety of local and international choices. Compliments to the chef. We had the issue with our shower, but Oshan and his team sorted it out immediately. The only thing we regret is not staying here longer, due to our previously arranged plans, but we are looking forward to our next trip to Sri Lanka and enjoy Taru villas once again.

Relaxing place, you feel like you are staying in a big private villa. Rooms are very modern and new. Friendly service, i think they have fair prices for rooms and food.

I almost don't want to share my review of The Last House because I want it to be my own little secret paradise! But of course, its fair to share. This is one of the most incredible hotels I've ever stayed in, and I've stayed in some pretty cool places. Of course the Geoffrey Bawa factor is cool, but the fact that the house manages to strike that perfect balance between luxury, yet so accessibly and comfortable. Nothing felt contrived or overdone, the house fit the surroundings perfectly, yet you felt like you were living in luxury. The incredibly beautiful and completely deserted beach is steps, STEPS, from the hotel. Every day we were there it was less than 5 people on the whole beach. Some of the best meals we had on our whole trip was at the Last House, the breakfast especially is incredible. And the service was impeccable. Nothing was too much, and they were super flexible with us on check in and check out time. Despite the fact that this place is a 12 hour flight from my home, I have no doubt in my mind that I will be back to this hotel. 11/10!

It was so enjoyable stay in lagoon gate. Caring service by all stuff is on highest level. We will never forget hospitality that we were met late at night when we arrived at the hotel. Speciality of this place is very tasty prawns and seafood that you will never find in tangalle. My very special thanks to Lali and Salinda for satisfying all the requests. And cooking man for breakfasts and very good coffee, i dont even figure out what is the secret of it ))

The location next to and view of the lagoon are great, we were able to see a great variety of wildlife. The beach is in walking distance. Our host was super friendly and welcoming, organized tuktuks, transfer, and a turtle walk for us, all the food was homemade and delicious, overall would recommend!

We loved the peace and tranquility that Coco Tangalla made us feel. It is situated in a great location, with a beautiful pool area and beach access. The staff were wonderful and very generous, they made sure we were having the best time at all times. We would highly recommend to anyone visiting Tangalle and will definitely be back!

This place is exceptional and we are very fussy. The grounds are very nice and large and peaceful. The room was huge and very clean and bright and just a relaxing place to be. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom is nice and although outside there were no bug issues so it was very pleasant. The room overlooks the lagoon which is nice as it’s very quiet. The restaurant, bar and pool area overlooks the ocean which was nice and there are many places to sit and relax. The pool was so clean and relaxing. The restaurant area is very bright. The food was very good quality and they catered to making it more spicy upon request which is great as most restaurants in hotels reduce the spice. There was plenty of variety of food and everything was good. The cocktails were very good too. The wine was good. The food is decent price for this type of place. The service from everyone in the hotel was exceptional they were all perfect as they knew what one wanted or needed and they were friendly and helpful but not in your way all the time or over the top like many other places. The wifi worked well. Rhey also organised transport to our next destination. The beach is nice to walk and we don’t generally swim in the beach anyway so this place was perfect for us. The breakfast was yum, particularly the Sri Lankan breakfast. The owner, Nick was also very friendly and clearly put a lot of effort into making sure people are happy. Everything was just perfect and the staff were great which made it so nice and made us not want to leave the property at all for the two days which is not like us at all but this place is very relaxing and a must stay when coming to Sri Lanka.
