I was very impressed with the Amari Spice hotel in Penang it surpassed my expectations.It was the best hotel I have ever been to I would highly recommend it to anyone.

Everything is perfect except the location

The property was very easy to find. Owner was great with communication and was able to organise us an airport transfer despite the next day being a public holiday for them. The area has everything you need from a lotus supermarket, a laundromat and a fantastic food court up the road (Phoenix).

The hotel location was central of George town main streets and excellent. As soon as we arrived at the hotel, the staff gave us a very detailed introduction to sightseeing in Penang. In addition to that, they prepared a packed lunch box for breakfast since they knew that we would depart early in the morning the next day as well as they sent our parcel at the post office, which was not originally included in hotel service. They also handled the early morning airport drop off for us.

From the front desk to the housekeeping team, every single person we encountered went out of their way to make us feel welcome and cared for. Their restaurant recommendations were outstanding, and they gave us wonderful tips for excursions that made our stay unforgettable. The Edison isn’t just a hotel – it’s an experience. It combines heritage, comfort, and a level of hospitality that is rare to find. We travel often, but few places have left such a lasting impression. If you’re visiting Penang, don’t even think twice. I had a fantastic experience staying at 22 Macalisterz! The unit was impressively beautiful, exactly like the photos. It had everything I needed for a comfortable stay and this will definitely make my vacation more enjoyable.

Highly recommend this place. The unit are very clean. Location is very convenient with food court and shopping mall surrounding. The security guard is helpful. As well as owner, Christy and Philip are friendly.
