I had the pleasure of staying at the Zarafa in Hazyview for two nights, and I could have easily extended my stay for a week if time permitted. The experience was flawless, with exceptional attention to detail that truly set it apart. The villa was absolutely stunning, offering complete privacy to enjoy the pool, dine on the gazebo, and unwind in a serene setting with breathtaking views, all while being completely isolated from any noise or distractions. The bathroom was equally impressive, featuring a spacious his-and-her vanity, a bath stocked with an array of luxurious salts and gels, and a large, well-appointed shower. Dinner was a standout experience – a five-course meal that would satisfy even the heartiest of appetites. As a fine dining chef, I must say that every dish was executed to perfection. Barrie, the owner, went above and beyond to personally introduce himself to all the guests. He made sure everyone felt welcome and took extra care to accommodate any special requests. He even arranged an early breakfast pack and provided binoculars for our early game drive. If you have the opportunity to stay at Zarafa and choose not to, you’re truly missing out on an exceptional experience that goes far beyond just a place to stay. As an added bonus, we were lucky enough to spot the resident giraffe during our stay. Barrie shared that she sometimes drinks from the pool, although she didn’t do so while we were there.

Located in the south-western region of the Kruger National Park, Mdluli Safari Lodge is accessible via a private road just after the Numbi Gate.

The tents were amazing. Simple elegance. Air conditioning was great. Indoor/ outdoor showers were so nice. Large deck to sit on. Restaurant was very good! Buffet at night with many great options. Loved our coffees from the bar. Sitting along the edge of each was a treat. Good game drives. Gave us packed breakfasts in the morning. The staff were amazing. Very friendly, helpful and good knowledge of what it is going on.

Anyone visiting SA in 2023 needs to know what "load shedding" means. Since visiting last year, an "inverter" has been installed. This minimised disruption due to load shedding. Otherwise, the unit is perfect for families looking to stay in a beautiful resort close to KNP Phabeni Gate. It's exactly as shown in the photos. P.s. For families looking to self cater, ask reception for which grocery delivery apps to use. They will deliver right to the unit.

The chalet was spacious, beautiful and clean. what you see in the pictures is what you get. The lady who did housekeeping was so sweet and kind. Would definitely reccomend the chalet.
