Hotel Spalentor ligt tegenover de botanische tuin, op 5 minuten wandelen van het oude centrum van Basel en de universiteit. The location is good, close to the old town and the University of Basel. We can see the old town gate Spalentor outside the room window. It's easy to walk to the main attractions in the old town or take the tram. The reception staff are very welcoming and the hotel provides free water and fruit at the counter, as well as luggage storage services. The hotel takes its guests very seriously. The room was bright, clean, quiet and comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious, we were very satisfied.

The location couldn’t be better, with everything we needed close by. Our host was extremely kind, responsive, and helpful throughout our stay. We would definitely come back and highly recommend this place to others!
