Wonderful atmosphere as soon you set foot in the lobby and get welcomed with a delicious glass of wine. The rooms continue the theme of relaxing. Very calming tones and serene views. The beds are comfortable and the pillows can be individualized. We ate at the hotel restaurant which was a modern take on fine dining. Delicious selection on foods and wine with exceptionally friendly staff. We ended the night at the rooftop bar where we enjoyed live music and solid cocktails. The popcorn served at the bar was a new flavor explosion and we had to have the secret of their spices, which the friendly bartender happily shared. Breakfast buffet was variety rich and delicious. Free champagne was definitely a plus. I think a major plus is also the direct access to the Therme which makes for a luxurious stay. Rounding off our stay with a massage at the hotel spa. Definitely recommend a stay here. 10/10

Free WiFi is available throughout the property. The rooms are very spacious and have all the amenities. One room with double bed and one room with a bunk bed. So very comfortable for a family of 4. The kitchen is well equipped and bathroom also has a washing machine. The location is very central with great tram connectivity and tram station is just 5 min walk. Tram takes to Freiburg downtown in 3-4 stops and also directly to the main train station. Rewe and DM are also 5 mine walk. On top of it the reception staff was very friendly and helpful. Our 3 year old fell a bit sick the 2nd day of the trip and the staff readily extended our checkout time by 2 hours. Strongly recommended.

Every day the view from our balcony looked more beautiful. We were lucky to have stayed a week in November when it was bright sunshine so we were able to take advantage of the beautiful surroundings. Cycling is so easy as the hotel really is in the middle of the forest but glad we had e-bikes as steep slopes all around. The bridge directly into the forest was an instant immersion into to Schwarzwald. We also took advantage of the wellness program and did qi-jong in the fresh air and reminded ourselves to slow down and breathe! The food was delicious and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. Big shout out to our waitress Anna too.
