From the moment we arrived we received outstanding care from the on-site concierge. Nothing was too much trouble - from house cleaning to laundry and help with the local food delivery services. The apartment itself is spotless and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. AC in every room, kitchen with fridge, kettle and microwave and a water filter which meant that we did not have to buy bottled water. Beds were extremely comfortable and the roof terrace was a bonus extra space to hang out in the evenings. WiFi was excellent. The location was great. You could get a cab directly to the door and it is walking distance to Ballygunge train station, a local supermarket, Gariathat and many restaurants and coffee houses. Would highly recommend!

HOTEL LAKE VIEW bevindt zich in Baharampur en heeft een gedeelde lounge, een terras en een bar. This was an exceptional hotel. The best we have stayed in so far on our month trip. We had a beautiful, clean and comfortable room with a lake view. Wonderful bathroom with good shower. The staff were unbelievable in every way. So incredibly kind and helpful. The food was first class and they have a lovely rooftop restaurant. The location is great with lots to see nearby. Thoroughly recommended!

OYO Hotel O Anandalok Guest House bevindt zich op 17 km van Metrostation Dumdum en 23 km van M G Road Metro Station, en heeft kamers met airconditioning en een eigen badkamer in Bārāsat. It was a very good property. Awesome hotel, rooms and bathrooms were very clean. Reception members were very gentle and friendly, house keeping staffs were very nice and good behavior.

Op een mooie, hoge en rustige plek gelegen in de leuke plaats Mirik, 40 km van Darjeeling. (Vanwege theetuinbezoek was ik hier) Heel groot balkon, kluisje, radiator, thee en koffie, water, badjas, toiletartikelen....etc. Het internet in de kamer haperde soms een beetje, maar ze hebben op de bovenste etage een ruimte met een goede 4G verbinding, waar je prettig kunt zitten en internetten.

11 Monteviot: Luxury homestay overlooking a tea estate ligt in Kurseong, op 28 km van Tiger Hill en 25 km van klooster Ghoom. Staying at this homestay was one of the loveliest experiences I’ve had in the region. The place itself is spotless, comfortable, and has a perfect, calming view—but what truly makes it special are the owners, Tuhina and her husband, Uncle Tea :) From the moment I arrived, they treated me not as a guest but as part of the family. By pure coincidence, Tuhina was celebrating her 39th birthday during my stay, and they invited me and another guest to join their small celebration. Sharing cake, wine, and stories with them was an unforgettable experience—a genuine highlight of my trip. The staff are incredibly friendly and can cook (almost) absolutely anything you ask for, always with a smile. And if you have even the slightest interest in tea, speaking with Uncle Tea—who is a veteran tea planter—is an experience in itself. His knowledge is deep, his stories fascinating, and he explains everything in excellent English, which is a rare and very welcome surprise in the area. Yes, the price is a bit above the local average, but every rupee feels absolutely worth it for the hospitality, comfort, and authentic warmth you receive here. I left feeling like I was saying goodbye to family. A solid 10/10. Wholeheartedly recommended.
