Situated on the secluded West Coast of Central Ishigaki Island, 18km from Ishigaki City, 5km from Yonehara Beach, Ishigaki Sunset Cove is set along the beach and rooms with free WiFi access. The property has a nice pool, beachfront location and kayaks to rent free of charge. The hotel is ideally located in the middle of Ishigaki so if you rent one of Joshes little vans (a must for the price) you can explore both the north and south sides of the island easily.

The room was incredible, and the service was absolutely fantastic, it was so attentive and thoughtful. I don’t speak Japanese, but the staff went above and beyond to accommodate every request we had. Their outstanding hospitality, the location, and the unforgettable room truly made our stay exceptional! The breakfast was delicious, and there was a buffet with fresh fruits, salads, spreads and bread.

I wish I could give this a 100/10! We had the best time at Tsundara Beach Retreat, it was one of the main highlights of our month long trip to Japan/Ishigaki. The hosts are amazing! So lovely and accommodating, but also informative about the island and activities nearby, there was also a handy book of all attractions. The use of the kayak was great for us and the private beach was absolutely stunning. The gardens are gorgeous and we felt so at ease here. The location is a little remote compared to the main towns, so I’d recommend hiring a car (we did), this was not a negative though, this was one of the things we loved about the property. The breakfast also needs a special mention as it was amazing and different every morning! The days we went diving we also had it dropped off especially early for us which was great. Thank you thank you thank you! We wish we could’ve stayed for weeks longer. A must stay on Ishigaki island, we will be staying here if we ever come back.

ANA InterContinental Ishigaki Resort is a 20-minute drive from New Ishigaki Airport. It features a fitness centre, spa, outdoor and indoor swimming pools, and 9 dining options. Great resort hotel, right on the beach in Ishigaki. Great concierge staff (Jean) who was able to arrange for may activities (snorkeling and island tour) ouside of the hotel, as well as very good local restaurants in Ishigaki. Beautiful and large rooms (especially by Japan standards). Very nice resort, great to relax after 3 weeks of intense visiting all over Japan. Great breakfast, the best we have seen in Japan.
