Open from September 2019, only 150 metres from JR Hakata Train Station, Miyako Hotel Hakata offers stylish rooms with a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom. Free WiFi is available throughout the property. The famous Nanzoin Temple is a 30-minute train ride away. Unlike the Miyako in Kyoto, this 208-room property is not associated with Westin/Marriott. The hotel is relatively new, around four years old when writing this. We picked the Miyako Hotel Hakata for its excellent location right adjacent to the Hakata train station. The reception is on the third floor. The staff is friendly and professional, and the rooms are excellent - very spacious and bright. Fully equipped with any amenities you might need and with fantastic beds and pillows. The lights, curtains and drapes are controlled by a tablet on a bedside table. The hotel features a lovely outdoor pool on the top floor amd also has a good restaurant for breakfast and dinner. We tried the ten course dinner and it was very good. When in Fukuoka we will pick the Miyako again. One of the top hotels we have stayed at during our many hotel nights in Japan. Rooms 5 Service 5 Location 5

The location right close to Spectacles bridge was quite scenic and convenient. The staff had the balance perfect. They were helpful without being intrusive. This facility is immaculate and is easily the cleanest I have ever stayed in. The all you can eat free icecream was an unexpected and welcome bonus.

The room was even better than the listing pictures suggested, the staff was so kind and helpful, and we felt very well taken care of. We had a slight issue figuring out how to keep our onsen hot and it was fixed right away. I completely recommend staying here. Every room has its own private bath, and all the rooms are separate buildings. It’s so private and relaxing. We accessed the property with a car and it was incredibly easy. We didn’t opt for the kaiseki dinner, but breakfast was fantastic!

They received special gifts upon arrival. Not a single moment of discomfort and all our needs were immediately attended to from food, beverages, taxi booking, room service.
