The owner and the workers are really nice and helpful and the hotel is located few minutes walking from Kalkudah beach. You can also easily reach Passikudah beach by foot. I highly recommend staying here!

The eco-friendly Maalu Maalu Resort & Spa - Thema Collection sits on the sandy shores of Passekudah Bay on the east coast of Sri Lanka. Exceptional stay in paradise! We had an unforgettable experience at Maalu Maalu Resort. The staff were incredibly kind and hospitable, always going the extra mile to make us feel welcome. The infinity pool and beach were absolutely stunning—perfect for relaxing and enjoying nature. Our room was a luxurious two-story cottage with a private pool, jacuzzi, and even a sauna. The spa treatments were top-notch; we enjoyed some of the best massages we’ve ever had. The food was delicious every day, with a great variety. One of the highlights of our stay was playing beach volleyball with other guests—it really added a fun, social touch. A special thanks to Ruchi, who truly made this trip magical. He treated our daughter like a princess, played with her, and made us feel like the hotel was our own home. He’s a rare gem who brought warmth and joy to our entire experience. Highly recommended for families and anyone looking to unwind in a tropical paradise.

A splendid outdoor pool resides between the beach and Amaya Beach Passikudah, a resort offering spacious rooms and suites with private balconies and free WiFi. Loved everything about this stay. It was very relaxing. The hotel has used the land and the private beach area in the most efficient manner. Very picturesque with the blue colour waters, we took a lot of photos! You can either swim in the private beach of the hotel and see corals, or walk over to the public beach without corals. The pool was good, lounge beds spreaded over the area provided a nice place to experience the wind and the sunsets. There was a lot of guests at the hotel but it did not feel overcrowded. Staff are very polite. Buffets were nice. They also had a place to play board games. Also jet ski, paddle boats etc were offered for additional charges. Staying for more than 1 night was a good choice. Will definitely go again.

It is with great pleasure that I leave a review about the Sunrise Pasikuda Hotel! My family and I spent a wonderful 11 days-I didn't want to leave! The two-room family room turned out to be very large and comfortable: 2 bathrooms, a bathroom, comfortable ergonomic mattresses, clean linen, all(!) possible accessories for personal care and hygiene, coffee and tea in the mini-bar, which was replenished in the morning and evening, room cleaning 2 times a day, a spacious terrace with comfortable outdoor furniture, views of the beach and tropical park. Two small two-storey buildings of the hotel are located on the huge green territory of Sunrise Pasikuda Park, with giant palm trees and many other trees and plants, which adjoins a wide beach with snow-white sand. One of the best beaches we've ever seen. The beach is snow-white, spacious with a very hospitable ocean! The entrance to the ocean is on fine sand and a shallow bottom, without waves, which allows you to swim all day in peace. The part of the beach belonging to Sunrise Pasikuda has comfortable sun beds with soft mattresses and towels, which are kindly provided by the hotel. Sprawling trees with a vast and dense crown serve as a real salvation from the midday sun – thanks to the hotel staff for taking care of these beautiful trees. There is also a huge swimming pool on the territory of the hotel, which extends throughout the park: from the hotel buildings to the coastline. Fresh shower. Delicious breakfasts in the lobby restaurant. From the usual omelets to Ceylon exotics; an abundance of pastries, tropical fruits and freshly squeezed juices. We really want to thank all the staff of the hotel! The management of the hotel, the staff of the restaurant, the beach, the rooms, the gardeners, the reception. You have given us an unforgettable, wonderful experience! We did everything possible to solve our everyday problems and at the same time left the opportunity to be alone with our family and our journey.
