Jan was very accommodating with my early check in time and let me leave my bags in the living room as I waited to check in. I originally booked for 4 nights but ended up staying an extra 5. Because the Homestay can only accommodate up to 6 people the place is a lot quieter then other places in siargao. For the price you pay and what you get the value is amazing. Place is cleaned daily and shower also has hot water. A/C in the rooms is also super comfortable. If you have a wise account he can help you withdraw money without the crazy high atm fees. The Homestay is close to everything and easy to walk to scooter rentals around his neighbourhood. He can help with booking transportation to and from the airport as well if needed. Had many amazing conversations with jan during my stay and would definitely recommend booking here if you’re looking for a comfortable bed to stay in during your time in siargao.

My stay at Las Palmas was lovely and the property is stunning! The staff (Kim, Pamela and the waiting team) had a very strong attention to detail and made sure guests were welcomed. Rooms were beautifully styled and very comfy. I loved the pool and vibe of the place and was a great place to relax. Breakfast was also very good with lots of choice. The location of the hotel is very good with lots of cafes and dining options in walking distance and is away from the noise of the main General Luna area. Cloud 9 is 5 mins away by tuktuk or bike. One small thing to improve might be having thicker blinds or curtains in the room as it gets light very early at 5.30am and there was a top window that lets in all the light. The hotel does kindly provide eye masks, but it could do with some extra blackout so you're not disturbed so early.

The facilities are great, the views amazing and location ideal. Close enough to General Lula and far enough to relax in front of the sea! The service was impeccable. We loved everything about this place. The location was superb, on a beautiful beach. The garden was beautiful and well kept. The rooms very spacious and clean, with all amenities. The restaurant serves excellent food and wines. The owners and staff are all wonderful people.

Kalipay Resort Siargao in General Luna offers comfortable rooms with air-conditioning, private bathrooms, balconies, and modern amenities. Calm and relaxed atmosphere. The garden and pool area was so peaceful The rooms are kept clean daily. Sustainable steps taken - gave us drinking water in the room and reusable water bottle (sterilised) to use during our stay. The team were very friendly, professional and very knowledgeable. They also gave us some local knowledge about how much tricycle fair was reasonable and provided us with reasonable option when it came to tours. The fact they didn't upsell made us feel looked after. At night, they also have a security guard which again made us feel safe.

Also reception can help to find u bike for rent, excursion or surfing lesson. Breakfast was exelent every time. I loterally can't say anything bad about place. Also restourant itself good there, for lunch or dinner whatever. Nice thing that u don't need to take money every time u go restourant, u can just put bill on ur room number, very convinient, often did that when all wet after pool and didn't have money with me. Pool which they have always clean and nice. Room is big enough, balcony in nice to drink coffee in the morning. Parking for scooter in front of the place.
