The location was approximately 15mins away from the touristy areas but taxis were cheap. The hotel was more than what I expected. Reception, especially Marina, was exceptional. They didn't just take care of checking in but also served somewhat as concierge and entertained my many questions, request for advise on places and restaurants to visit. Even helped me have food delivered to the hotel. The beds were comfortable, so many pillows and good pillows at that. Water is free and may be requested if lacking. There were towel warmers, windows could block off noise. There is also a laundromat right across the hotel, local eateries and supermarket within walking distance. While there is ongoing construction in the vicinity at around 8 or 9 am, it wasn't jarring sound because of the soundproofing mechanism of the windows. It's tolerable at least for me.

This hotel was truly exceptional. The room was comfortable, spacious, and exceptionally clean. The breakfast buffet was varied, well prepared and delicious. The best part of staying here, however, is the staff, who were attentive, friendly, and helpful from check in to check out. If I return to Porto, this will be my first choice of hotel.

We cannot offer enough praise for The Rebello. From the first moment, we received the warmest welcome and the utmost assistance at the front desk. We were helped to our room — an unexpected upgrade to a commanding river view — and introduced to all amenities which encompassed an all-inclusive mini-bar. We paid a visit to the restaurant/bar and were assisted by the most extraordinary Claudia for whom nothing was too much trouble. Our meals were prepared exactly to our liking due to Claudia’s willingness to communicate with the kitchen and the kitchen’s willingness to accommodate us. The next day, breakfast was similarly pleasing. We stayed only one night but that was enough to make us wish we had arrived much earlier. The hotel is a short walk to the dock for Uniworld and other river boats. Staff even offered to take our bags there for us! We love you guys at the Rebello!
