Perched on top of the cliffs overlooking Hermanus’s Walker Bay, The Marine offers first-class splendour and elegance and a spectacular seascape, with imposing views extending across Western Capes... From the moment we were greated by name by the security guard to the time we left, our stay at the Marine was excellent. The staff were very helpful and professional. We had a wonderful dinner and breakfast.

Everything. This property in my opinion has no peers to compare with. Whatever criteria you choose it is superb.

We were 2 couples, staying in a 3 bedroomed apartment for 2 nights. We should have booked it for longer. The apartment more than met our expectations, comfy beds, well appointed right throughout the property, great bathrooms and showers, outdoor sitting areas on both floors. Great parking, either outside the building or in the underground parking lot. Communication with our hosts was great, as we were checking in late afternoon on a Saturday, so Whatsapp was great for agreeing on the lockbox access, and they did us a video which made everything so easy to understand. Eloize and Gina are the best of the best.

I'm sorry that it was cold when we visited as the pool looked so inviting. Melani made restaurant suggestions, brought us making for a delicious breakfast and saved the day when she secured a safe , last minute transport to our next destination that had been inadvertantly canceled at the last minute. She and her husband were very gracious and put us at ease. We highly recommend a Riverbed guesthouse.

Everything was incredible about this property from the minute we stepped into the main door I was swept away and in awe. The official pictures don’t do it justice and we were so pleasantly surprised by the beauty. It was the best place we’ve stayed so far in our SA trip, and even after coming from some places that we would have thought to be hard to beat. The view is jaw dropping, it’s so peaceful, and all of the staff especially the owner is so generous and kind!!! Truly amazing and feel so lucky to have come across this wonder! Wish we could have stayed longer. Best sunsets too. We had the private guest cottage which gave really nice privacy, spotlessly clean, nice amenities and super comfortable. Just book it, you will have no regrets. If it could be 11/10 it would be

We all felt very safe and secure. Alan and the staff provided a very homely feel and were super attentive and couldn’t do more for us. Beautiful location. Clean rooms and very good facilities well equipped with everything we needed.
