Took our breakfast with us. It has only been built for 4 years and is new. The location was excellent a short walk to the main street. The Com is attached to the Pub the Commercial Hotel so could pop in for a drink or a meal if you liked. The building design was quite different with separate motel rooms(almost a tiny home) separated by empty garages on two levels Our room had lovely afternoon sun. Plenty of parking and space. Built in front of the big rock cliffs of Whakatane and the Tuis were very busy in the bush in the morning - lovely.

One88 on Commerce is located in Whakatane. The 5-star motel is a short walk from the Whaktane District Aquatic Centre and walking tracks.

I would have today it was one of the nicest Motel’s I have stayed in in NZ

I loved the room and facility. Very nice place and very friendly staff. Great location. A perfect place to stay in Whakatane.

Incredibly central, very friendly lady on the desk who pointed me to the Sunday craft market which was a lot of fun. Older building but very very clean and comfortable. A great place to stay with the dogs.

Very nice staff, lovely big space and with all amenities and plus a huge fridge that was also quiet!
