Port Douglas
Located in the heart of Port Douglas, just 50 metres from Macrossan Street and a short 5-minute walk to the patrolled section of Four Mile Beach, Port Douglas Motel offers a vibrant, retro-inspired stay with modern comforts. In summary everything went well - it was a wonderful experience overall! Firstly the vibe of the place - this is not your standard cookie cutter resort in PD. This has a very unique style with massive murals, funky coloured furniture, and all the comforts. Uniquely, in the pool area there's the facilities of a standard kitchen providing guests the option to prepare their meals (Coles is just a short walk) and relax in a shaded dining area poolside. The pool area had a calming waterfall and it was great to hang out and experience peace and tranquility. As a solo traveller it was great to meet other guests of all nationalities and enjoy each other's company. Staff were very friendly and helpful in arranging my return transportation to Cairns at very short notice - Ruth you're a superstar! The ownership has transformed a standard '60's vintage Motel into a truly unique property - hats off to them!

The motel rooms and exterior are bright, playful and cheerful. It is well-located as it is close to the main drag and Four Mile Beach but quiet in the evenings. The room was clean and the kitchenette was useful.
Great place. Spacious easily slept six. Great view over the golf course and mountains. St Crispins cafe around the corner was superb, very good coffee! Pool was perfect. You do need a car if you are staying here.
The staff. Every single one of them was so friendly and helpful even when it was hectic and so busy. The location is fab right by the beach for beach walks and 15 minute beach walk to Port D centre. Beautiful grounds with stunning plants and palms. Room was great and nice and quiet away from the noise of the pools and loud “sunset sessions”. Also breakfast is great loads of good choices, good coffee and health juices too.
Were not there for breakfast. Location & surrounds were pleasant & quiet. Within walking distance of the main street. A smaller motel on one level only which was peaceful. Also a very nice pool.
The Port Douglas Motel was in a very convenient location. I was travelling alone and I felt very safe and the management very helpful. I was within walking distance to everything I needed. The outside kitchen was very good, even had an oven as well as bbq.
Location was good. Room was spacious, clean and cosy. Free parking. Wifi actually works and has good speed.
Very clean and roomy unit, with a good sized refrigerator. Excellent location with shops, restaurants and beach only a short walk away. Motel owners and staff were very friendly and helpful.
Good location, however in a near-empty venue, I was allocated a room over a worksite on the road. Not great.
It was not a Resort, more of a motel, but it was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the staff was very helpful and friendly.
The resort accommodation provided free parking and was within comfortable walking distance from both the beach and the township. The hotel/motel had a nice swimming pool and smaller spa which was ideal as it can be risky swimming in the ocean, particularly during the stinger (jellyfish) season. The room were spacious with a large bedroom and ensuite and large dining/ sitting room. We also had a small outdoor deck facing the pool. A very relaxing and reasonably priced place to stay.
