Located in the leafy suburb of Birkenhead on Auckland's North Shore district, FERNZ Motel & Apartments Birkenhead offers accommodation within a 15-minute drive from Auckland CBD. A variety of cafes and restaurants serving local and international cuisine and shopping are situated in the town centre, just 2 minutes' walk from the property. The apartment layout was very nice, and had everything we needed to make us feel at home, including a washer/dryer in the bathroom. The neighborhood had a lot of shops and restaurants, and it was only 10-15 min drive from downtown Auckland. The large bay windows to the balcony were a nice addition, and let a lot of light into the apartment.

Free Wi-Fi and free car park (limited spaces, based on first in, no reserves) are on offer at Alexander Inn. Each room has a kitchenette or full kitchen with microwave, refrigerator and tea/coffee making facilities. We were made to feel very welcome. The hotel was quite luxurious and very very clean. We would recommend and definitely stay there again. Many thanks also for allowing us a late departure.

Just 50 metres walk from the weekly village markets, guests enjoy a swimming pool, BBQ facilities and a children’s playground at Matakana Motel. All accommodation offers a satellite flat-screen TV, a microwave and a fridge. Perfect little stay! So comfortable (particularly the bed)

Whangaparaoa Lodge - redefining casual luxury on the footsteps of Auckland's most beautiful beaches - offers an affordable stay experience. This is one of the most friendliest hotel I have ever stayed in. The staff is extremely nice! We stayed in two connected rooms. Very good cooked breakfast delivered to the room. The rooms are big and the bathrooms are big. There is kitchen equipment available in the room. The beach is on the other side of the road (probably 50 meters walk). The restaurant is in the town, a few minutes nice walk. The internet WiFi connection is super fast with a good coverage. The hotel was well located for us as we wanted to visit Shakspear Park. It is just about one hour drive from Auckland. Have I told that the staff is extremely friendly, nice and just wonderful? After checkout we were offered towels to enjoy beach longer. We gave the towels back to the hotel in the afternoon long after checkout. Thank you, that helped us a lot.

All rooms boast a kitchen, a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, and a private bathroom. The accommodation provides a 24-hour front desk, a concierge service and organising tours for guests. A very comfortable stay at this motel. Plenty of room to move around and the kitchenette met all our needs. Though the accommodation is situated on a busy road, we had no problem with vehicle traffic noise. The location was perfect for us in accessing Auckland airport the next day.
