The hotel gave us an incredible experience! The open-air public bathtub with a view of mountains and the shrine is something you need to experience yourself! After the bathing, there are popsicles and hot/cold drinks available for free.

perfect location. Our room was on the 7th floor with a bath in the room with a view. Fantastic view. comfortable beds. Elevator was just next to our room. It was so convenient to go out through the side gate on 1st level.

It is clean, quiet, homely, comfortable and at a great location. Chatani San and family are so welcoming and warm. The breakfast and dinner were delicious and plenty. They were also very kind and offered to change my room to a single one at a lesser charge.

Awesome hotel in a historical style. We really enjoyed the stay. Dinner was a whole ceremony. The food was nicely cooked. Room was clean. Staff was very friendly. Area around is great for a walk. Though it's really crowded during the day, at the late night it was only us on the street. Not cheap but as an experience - totally worth it!

Awesome hot springs hotel in Kyoto. Location is good, 10 min walk to the Kyoto Station. Has everything you need in the hotel. Highly recommend the breakfast buffet they got so much food. Appreciate that they give you a passcode for the women’s laundry as well as the onsen to make women feel safer. Whole facility very clean.

Location was excellent! It's situated right next to Kamo River which was just so beautiful and there is a park that stretches alongside it. The ryokan itself is also very nicely done with a zen garden. The onsen was wonderful and well equipped. It had a hot spring feel to it. The kaiseki breakfast was top notch. Special mention goes to the milk which is really tasty. Room was great. It was big and spacious and the window view of the river and the trees just mesmerizes you.
