This one being the best I've had the pleasure of staying in. The cleanliness is equivalent to some of the fanciest hotels out there, I can't overstate how comfy the common areas and rooms are. The onsen is great, although not very large. I picked the cheapest room option, and I was pleasantly surprised to find a massive room with wall sized view right into the forest, comfortable bunk beds with excellent ventilation.

The hotel is a 30-minute drive from Yunishikawa-Onsen Train Station. Heike Village Museum is just a 10-minute walk away. Ryuokyo Canyon is a 40-minute drive, and Nikko Toshugu Shrine is 50 km away. Everything was so very special, from the private onsen in our room to the incredible dinner and breakfast and everything in between!

Excellent large house with excellent very friendly host. We did a samurai experience including tea ceremony and Ken even arranged birthday cake for my so. Offered to drive us to the restaurant he arranged for the evening where we had a great sushi diner.
