What a delightful house. Our family of 4 arrived in early January welcomed by Lydia, the host. We had experienced German trains at their worst on the day of arrival, and so ended up arriving at the house over 6 hours behind schedule, and so arrived after 10.30pm on a cold and wet night. Lydia quite happily rode her bike to the house and waited for us with some treats and took her time explaining where everything was, and gave us a whole lot of information about everything we might need. She was very communicative, kind and eager to make our stay pleasant. She even went to the effort of getting information that we were trying to find out relating to train tickets. Her English was excellent which was a bonus for us. The house had a beautiful lit up Christmas tree. It was warm and cosy and very spacious. Beautifully furnished, a well equipped kitchen and a lovely bathroom. The tv had streaming services. Beds were very comfortable. The house was spotlessly clean. There’s also a washing machine and dryer and a clothes drying rack. Our family felt very much at home. Lydia has put a lot of love and thought into making this house a delightful and comfortable place. The house is in a great location. It’s in a very quiet street. There’s a large Carrefour supermarket 200metres from the house. Further down (300metres) there’s a great bakery/deli. We were able to walk to the main town very easily. Took around 15 minutes. It’s also very easy getting to the train station. The bus stop is a few metres from the house and it only takes around 10 minutes with the bus to get to the train station. We quite easily took the train to Brussels. We will definitely return and stay longer to explore more of Mechelen and surrounding towns. Thank you for a great stay.

I really enjoyed my stay at this property. The location was fantastic, offering easy access to nearby attractions. The room was spotless and well-maintained, and I loved how it was decorated with Christmas-themed decorations, adding a festive touch that made my stay feel even more special. All the essential equipment and utilities were provided, from kitchen tools to toiletries, ensuring I had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. What truly stood out, however, was the owner. He was incredibly friendly, approachable, and always ready to offer helpful advice or assistance whenever needed. We arrived quite late but there was someone there to welcome us as arranged. The rooms were spacious and very comfortable with every facility provided. The breakfast selection could only be described as exceptional. We would definitely stay here again if visiting the area and would recommend this property without hesitation.

Friendly hosts. Very spacious room in a very spacious house, situated in the greenery of Keerbergen. Very 'rich' & tasty breakfast - ideal to start an active day. We went biking (we can recommend the Damiaan route, starting at the Damiaan museum, which is just a few km's away), and on Sundays the place also serves as a place where cyclists can have a stop-over for a refreshing drink.

Fabulous property, modern, high quality fittings and decorations, and amazing facilities. Walking distance from town centre (10-15 mins) for the attractions and a supermarket (5 mins) for supplies. The sauna and hot tub are great after a long day of walking or sitting in an ice rink! If we're back in Mechelen, this is definitely where we'd like to stay again!

    The location is very good with plenty of car parking. The rooms are excellent. Clearly been updated in the past few years. Modern and spotless. No air-conditioning but the heating is easily controlled and quickly heats the room even in mid-winter. No tea or coffee maker in the room but is available 24-7 in reception. Continental breakfast was all that could be reasonably desired. Excellent choice and taken in a very attractive room with a view of the woods beyond the deck outside. Would and probably will happily stay again..
