The owner's family are all kind, friendly and helpful. The sweetest surprise is the young couple speak Mandarin. The husband was in China for 4 years and the wife is from China. The food is very good, both breakfast and during the day. Very good location. 1 minute walk from the tram station. Beautiful mountains and lake nearby. Thoughtful advice on sightseeing.

Although I was only spending nights (2) in the hotel and didn’t have time for breakfast I really enjoyed it. The room is spacious and very clean, the cleaning lady does a fantastic work. Hotel staff is amazingly friendly and helpful. Small details like every day a fresh carafe of water, a welcome card and snacks are really lovely. There is a free parking lot for the guests in a underground garage and you can get for free (tourist travel card for trains and buses free of charge) to Basel, which takes about 20 minutes. The train station is located only few minutes from the hotel. I can highly recommend this place!

Everything. Very smart hotel in a small town. Room and bathroom very clean and comfortable. Easy underground parking. Lovely evening meal eaten outside. Very good selection for breakfast which we ate in the very atmospheric stubli. Staff extremely friendly and informative. Several very nice local cafes to have a beer etc.

We adored our stay at Vanette, and will surely return! Her B&B is a truly visionary project, and deserves all the success : it is clear that she put so much love and attention in every detail. The rooms are super modern, very cozy, and we both liked the concept of combined bed and sofa, in which we very well. We had a healthy breakfast together in the beautiful veranda, while having very inspiring discussions. The surrounding area is beautiful and quiet.
