Absolutly wonderfull. Owners family and staff were great, helpfull and nice. Great position for trips around in west/south Swiss area. Quitly location. Great kitchen, very tasty food in dinner restaurant and nice breakfast. Big nice room.

A unique location high in the gorge which leads to the Simplon Pass. It's an ancient castle which has been repurposed as a traveller's hotel. The rooms are clean and modern with all the facilities you would expect. There is a bar and restaurant. There's also a museum explaining the history of the village which includes gold mining in tunnels deep inside the mountain.

What a lovely little place. Run by two lovely gents who between them and us we could communicate in English, French and German. Both charming and very eager to please. On ground level, there is the bat and restaurant area with fabulous views of the waterfall and mountains. Choice of food from locality and a few other generals such as hamburger and pork steaks. Not cheap but delicious. Local beer on tap and local wine by the half or full litre. The white wine was very similar to a Pinot Grigio. Range of ice creams for dessert which were huge. Upstairs, via beautiful slate steps inside to first floor. Room 1: large, clean, ideal with four windows showing magnificent views. Sink in room. Beds lovely and comfortable. Almost like a semi memory foam. Hairdryer provided. Internet free and good. Terrace to the side just outside room. Toilet down corridor. Bathroom at end with shower separate to bath but in same room with a sink. Shower doors rather slim, breath in. Bath mat, two large towels and a hand towel provided. Breakfast simple but delicious. Two cereal types, orange juice, yoghurt, milk, salami and bread. The hard cheese provided is made by one of the family of one lads running the place. It’s absolutely gorgeous. Could buy local beer in bottles to take away in shop next door. Would definitely recommend this lovely little place just before the Italy border at the end of the Simplon Pass.

The hotel is very modern and well-made. Beautiful design and big rooms. It's super central and the staff is great. I'd like to especially compliment the cleaning staff, the room was spotless every time she came by.

We went for hiking nearby, so we wanted a hotel that is comfortable but not fancy because we will only sleep there. The hotel was very clean, well maintained, and quiet, meeting all our need. Staffs are very friendly. Restaurant was great. Food are quite nice. They seem to specialize on cordon bleu because one third of the menu is dedicated to different variation of cordon bleu (made my partner very happy).
