Very comfortable, clean and with plenty of facilities such as a dishwasher and washing machine. So easy to commute to Greven centre as well. There is an Edeka store quite close by and yet you are right in the countryside. We didn’t explore the walks this time but there are plenty of open spaces and woodland. Secure parking at the property as well.

The rooms are large, spotlessly clean and very functional (well this is Germany!), with good quality furniture and an excellent shower. Breakfast was top notch with a really good choice of fresh fruit, bread (Brötchen and other types), home made jams, cold meats, cheeses, cereals, eggs etc. Much better than in many 4* hotels I’ve stayed in. The hotel staff are great and very helpful, even helping us to order a food delivery as my German is still very basic. The price is very reasonable, this must be based on the fact that there are limited options for food/drink in the evenings.

The hotel lies in a small village, but yet it has a quite big garden in the back. A very good thing with the hotel is the possibility to check in early! We could check in at 12 o’clock, and we took our kids to the hotel swimming pool, which we had to our selves for all the time we were there. The kids loved it (3 and 4 years old). Breakfast was varied and good. The family room was very big and everything was clean and nice. The sofa bed for our kids was quite hard, but for kids it is ok. For dinner we drove 5 min to the next village, Steinfurt, and had dinner at Pöttken Ristorante Italiano, which I highly recommend! (Steinfurt also has a beautiful castle, but it was closed when we arrived.)
