It was centrally located to transport and the centre of the city. The breakfast buffer was very good. The revamped prison had a lot of character.

Excellent location, ideal as a starting point for exploring the city and surrounding area. We spent a few days there, and despite the foggy mornings, we could enjoy the city panorama from our rooms.

This hotel has an indoor pool, tennis courts and a large beer garden. It stands in the Oberpfälzer Wald Forest, on the edge of the Bavarian Forest.

Sublime. Absolutely wonderful hotel, location, food, staff, everything was perfect... even had a 4 poster bed, balcony and luxury bathrobes. This hotel really is a gem. A family owned and run conference style hotel but still with a family feel, incredibly warm and friendly welcome, all the staff seem family members or locals and give great service. Excellent facilties and standards of maintenance and cleanliness and really high quality materials and furniture. Great wellness and pool too! Even smallest details like a children's sandpit with toys mark this hotel as one where the owners really care about their guests. Local dishes in the restaurant were very good and breakfast was really good too. Final tip... pop over the road with a €1 coin and grab some goat food from the lockers and feed the lovely little goats, it'll bring a huge smile to your face!

we stayed in a lovely self contained appartment which had access to a lawned garden and a terrace with table and chairs. It was ideal for us as were travelling with our dog. We were within walking distance of the town, which is really beautiful and a great place to explore. The staff were very helpful, and very encouraging in my attempts to communicate in German (it's been a while). Lovely views of the castle from further along the garden
