The Mango guest house was an incredible and authentic experience in Elephantine Island. The staff, the facilities and the settings were fantastic. The staff arranged everything what we asked for: a car from Luxor, a trip to Abu Simbel, food delivery and a felucca sailing trip. It’s not for everybody, though. If you’re a 5-star hotel frequent visitor, this is not for you.

This hotel is highly recommended! The location is beautiful, the rooms are comfortable with lovely beds, the food is Nice and the staff is incredibly helpful. Excursions are well organised. It was great fun on the falucca with sunset.

A great laid back place to stay on the West Bank, close to the public ferry and the tombs of the nobles. The facilities are new and clean. The owners and his family are super hospitable. We also ordered lunch which was delicious. No regretting we have chosen the place and we will definitely come back.

Rewa and her family were so kind and welcoming. Airkela guest house is conveniently located just a few metres from the ferry pier on Elephantine Island. The room was spotlessly clean, with an amazing view over the Nile. Breakfast was superb. We would highly recommend. Location was prefect right on the Nile facing the Aga Khan Mausoliam. Ahmed picked us from the railway station early in the morning and cooked us a perfect egyptian breakfast. He was a gentleman and most helpful host. He arranged all our taxis, boat rides even went and bought our return train tickets and saw as off.

I really recommend this place, clean and cozy house, there is a corner where you can make tea or coffee, breakfast is amazing overlooking the Nile. It's close to the ferry, so it's easy to cross to the other side. And the host is very nice person, thank you for your hospitality 😊

Wonderful and breathtaking view of the Nile, a nice green territory with a pool, a spacious clean room, good breakfast, buffet or a la carte lunch is also available (for extra price), very friendly stuff at the reception. Not far from the Nubian Museum, Unfinished Obelisk and 15 min walk to the Corniche of Aswan, where you can experience an amazing felucca ride. The hotel kindly arranged for us 2 trips to Abu Simbel and to Luxor with three stops at Kom Ombo, Edfu and Esna temples with the private driver Mario. Mario is a super nice, English speaking, professional, confident and careful driver, he had a new, clean and comfortable car. Mario made our trips perfect, unforgettable and memorable. We had an interesting chat with him about Egypt, history and sights during our trip. We would recommend Mario and Basma Hotel to our friends!

    Best value in Aswan if not Egypt. Opted for a Tent with Futon on the roof, which provided a wonderful view of the Nile and southern section of Elephant island . Very good breakfast and ample parking . Its a 15/20 minute walk to the Nile and Souk area of Aswan.

    The hotel is on the island, opposite the pier near KFC. The one-way ferry fee is 10P per person in peak season. Our car was parked in the parking lot near KFC, and there were often no parking spaces at night. The house itself is clean and tidy and the staff are friendly.
