    Everything! The proprietor recommended a Resturant in walking distance for our Sunday evening meal and this too was excellent. Plenty of car parking space. There was good outside garden furniture - we ate breakfast outside. Good hot shower!

    The hotel pleasantly surprised us with its practically furnished concept, comfortable bed and cleanliness. And in addition, the breakfast in the morning was excellent. We didn't use the hotel parking lot, but I recommend it. On the street, a local driver slightly bumped into our car.

    We were travelling up from the south west and needed a place to stop over for one night. We also wanted secure parking as we had electric bicycles on the back of the car and Hotel de La Croix d'Or was perfect. The food in the resturant that night was superb and a delicious breakfast with plenty of choice the next morning. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the room was spotless. We were sorry to have only spent the one night in Avranches and would like to have had the time to explore it a bit more
