I loved this property which is situated in a perfect position within the beautiful village of Bize-Minervois. We had a family home here from 1973 until 2020 and have been looking for the perfect place to stay when we frequently return and have now found it. The property appears to have been very recently renovated to a very high standard indeed. Kitchen, bath and shower rooms all lovely. It also has a sun terrace and a lovely little balcony overlooking the street and church. The host was very communicative and accommodating. We really can't wait to go back as soon as possible! There was parking right outside and easy access to the river, bar and shops. A great find for us, and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay in this fabulous part of France. Last but not least, it has fabulous gigabit internet which was very useful to keep up with work.

Well-equipped kitchen, everything clean and pleasant. But the highlight is the garden, which is wonderful. With imposing trees, lots of greenery, a swimming pool with a delicious water temperature, a little river that runs between the house and the garden with lots of fish. The view is spectacular. This is one of the BEST places we've stayed. The host is the best. The place is beautiful, quiet and the personalized service is great. Attention to details, the rooms are beautiful. It is a gem!! The view, the town... everything was AMAZING!!

Perfect place to disconnect, located in the small and typical Ginestas village, a wonderful setting in the middle of the Occitane region. The place provides free private parking and bike storage, check- in was smooth and communication with the hosts was easy and effective. Breakfast is very good and if the weather is nice you can have it in their beautiful garden. Although we only needed a pit-stop place for one night during a roadtrip, we enjoyed everything so much :)

We enjoyed a fantastic stay at La Retraite. The apartment is cosy and tastefully decorated, and Assignan is a nice quiet little village, more interesting than we expected. We very much appreciated the complimentary local products, especially the jam and bread, and the coffee, because there are a few fine restaurants in the village, but no cafés where you can have breakfast.
