Everything, very comfortable. The host lit the stove to make sure it was warm for our arrival. Excellent breakfast provided. Our dog was welcomed and enjoyed a run in the field in the morning. A great place.

Unfortunately we were only able to stay 1 night- beautiful spot in great setting. Our host , Benoit, was attentive, helpful and a great cook- meals really good. Lived the space in the room and ease of access from car.

It was the best stay on our trip to France. Large rooms, with bathroom for both rooms, one for both of us and one for the children. Communicated internally. Everything super wide. Special mention to Liz&Paul super kind and attentive at all times. They leave some bottles of water, Nespresso coffee, everything super clean. Amazoing. Very good breakfast. We enjoyed it very much. Thank you so much for all Liz&Paul. If we go through there again, we'll stay back. Javier.

We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our 4 night stay at LBB. Richard and Yvonne are the most attentive hosts and are clearly revelling in their roles as custodians of this lovely old house. The property is being maintained to a very high standard. It’s neat, tidy and spotlessly clean and is a very comfortable and welcoming home away from home. The neighbourhood is quiet, safe and secure, so much so that we opted not to take advantage of the private car parking offered. Richard and Yvonne are well versed in the history and culture of Montmorillon and were able to offer a wealth of suggestions on where to go and what to do while visiting the département. Breakfast each day was a joy - smiles all around with the best of local produce on offer. Richard cycled to the bakery each morning to ensure we had the freshest of fresh croissants and bread. Our evenings in the garden were punctuated with shared glasses of wine and relaxed and friendly conversation. There’s an authenticity about LBB and its owners that is seldom found beyond small communities like Montmorillon.

A beautiful little apartment tucked away in a courtyard adjacent to the main house.It has its own terrace with furniture. Well equipped kitchenette and a really lovely walk-in shower. We stayed for 2 nights but ideal for a week or two. A good walk into town but close enough. The owner was very welcoming.

The location suited us perfectly. Quiet and rural. The host was lovely, we don’t speak much French and he no English but we got everything we needed. The closest village Le Dorat is about 3kms away and not a lot of food options so prepare in advance to cook at the studio or book a restaurant or go to Bellac. The La Petite Fontaine bar in Le Dorat was very welcoming. It has new English speaking owners who were renovating but will be doing meals soon.
