Breakfast was amazing, so much to choose from with delicious homemade bread and jams. You sit in the hosts kitchen with them and other guests, it is such a pleasure. They are very friendly and helpful with information for restaurants and attractions. If we are ever back in the area, we will be booking into Le Pigeonnier

The Queens Escape is one very unique and special chateau, if you are seeking something very different to your usual overnight, short or long stay, then this amazing chateau will not disappoint. Set in outstandingly beautiful grounds and within easy reach to the Dordogne river, and all the attractions offers, you will quickly feel like royalty especially as Karen, our host, was both very friendly and attentive to our needs without imposing on our privacy. Don't expect flatscreen TV's and modern tech, just relax and take in the scenery, amazing sunsets, walks around the grounds, watch deer, listen to the crickets and wildlife. You won't be disappointed! Martel, the nearest village, is a 10-minute drive and would highly recommend a visit to this medieval gem. My wife and I only stayed for 3 nights, and would have stayed longer but for the fact we were on a tour of France. I would not hesitate staying again in ever in the area. Karen & Bo

The fact that it was very clean and this is absolutely not always the case in France, very quiet, nice breakfast and on some evenings a very good quality three course diner. Lovely small villages to visit nearby. Beautiful rural region. Excellent quality for a fair price.

Received a very warm welcome from our hosts, who couldnt have been more friendly and approachable. A light supper was provided and we enjoyed the company of the other guests. Lovely bed, bathroom, gardens are lovely and although it is not much advertised, we enjoyed a cooling dip in the small swimming pool! Breakfast was delicious with lots of choice. Would highly recommend and we will return if in the area again. Thank you so much. Maureen & Peter

Very comfortable, welcoming place to spend a night (and, I'm sure, longer). Flora and Pierre are wonderful hosts and they and their dog Ninu, made my wife, dog, and I very welcome and relaxed. Breakfast was a wonderful collection of home-made pastries and preserves. We also booked an evening meal, which was delicious and great value. I couldn't recommend Le Kouloury highly enough

The whole experience was exceptional. We had access to the lovely garden, where we were served an excellent coffee upon our arrival Later, during supper (again in the garden) our host surprised us with his home-made terrine de sanglier, which made a simple evening meal truly memorable. The whole setting (house & garden) is beautiful. We were welcomed like family. Breakfast consisted of beautifully presented bowls of fruit, fresh bread & home-made jams (all from fruit from the garden), an excellent 'quartre quarts', walnut biscuits and again great coffee. I recommend this experience whole-heartedly and without any reservations whatsoever. It is worth a serious detour.

    Quiet. A short walk into the lovely village. Pool was warm enough so would have been nice if the weather had been warmer. House comfortable and well equipped, parking good for our motorcycles. Owner was perfect with arrival and departure.
