This is an amazing old (16th century) farmhouse on a working farm. The rooms are spacious with lovely huge tubs and separate shower. Breakfast was lovely, and it's only 20 min from Stonehenge and many other activities. The hosts Mark & Fiona are so friendly and gracious. It was a great way to start our holiday.

We had a fantastic stay at the Greyhound Inn. We stayed for dinner which was excellent and the breakfast was the best we’ve had in the UK. The owners were kind and helpful. Would 100% stay again and recommend to our friends.

Special thanks to the friendly lady of the reception. There was a payment issue and because I am a foreigner, things can get confusing because of the language barrier. I could rely on some extra patience from staff to resolve the issue. She was very patient and understanding, which was very nice. No wonder this hotel has such high review points, if there would be any issues, I am sure they would be resolved right away. The room I stayed in was great, large comfy bed, a table for doing some work, spotless bathroom and a whole arsenal of body wash, shampoo conditioner stuff. Nothing to complain about and more than fairly priced, especially considering breakfast is included.

The Compasses Inn is a gem that we coincidentally found after visiting Stonehenge. Off the beaten track but very worthwhile to visit and stay. The originally 14th century inn has a dark brown pub that serves locally sourced food. The rooms are pleasantly modern, fitting the ancient building and with natural materials. Absolutely nice! Staff is very friendly, breakfast tasty, according to your preference (vegetarian in our case). Considering all of this, the price was more than reasonable. Very recommendable!

The room was immaculate. It is small so would be cosy for a couple but certainly perfect as a solo traveller. I couldn’t fault Jess and Steve who offered a really warm welcome and were happy to help with any queries throughout my stay. The local pub, The Royal Oak, is only a 5 minute walk away and a great place for drinks or food as you need.

    The host was lovely and welcoming; the check in process was smooth and quick. The room and en-suite were clean and spacious and blessedly cool! Plenty of parking and easy to find. The breakfast the next morning was great; plenty of variety and the breakfast room was again clean, bright and spacious.
