We only stayed for one night, as we were going to the Newark Showground, the following day. It was lovely! Excellent location, only 10 mins away from our destination. We were welcomed on arrival,and offered advice on nearby eating houses....The room was great, , the shower was lovely (girls remember your shower cap)as it was an overhead shower....Tea and coffee supplied...bed was so comfy! Breakfast was continental ,brought at the time,we requested...Nice & quiet ...would definitely stay again..

Very easy entry to the pods , Lyndsey called by after we had been there a few hours to check we were happy & said to message regarding anything. Very helpful and quick to reply to messages. Lots of space for children to play.

Went for a wedding at the pheasantry brewery. Good location for the wedding either by car or taxi. Excellent breakfast and the room had everything you need. After a long journey the owner had already booked a table for the evening meal which was excellent. Very friendly staff . Would definitely recommend. Breakfast was superb.

The Lions made for a lovely stop over on my way from London to Scotland. Pablo and John are very friendly and welcoming hosts. The breakfast was fabulous. I only wish I could have stayed longer!

We loved everything about our stay. Julie and her husband were amazing hosts. The cottage was very well equipped, and the very generous supply of fruit, snacks, and breakfast items were very much appreciated. We loved the location of the cottage, especially as there were farmyard animals and Dashunds!

    The owners are very friendly. When we finally arrived after long delays and could not find the exact location, Steve came to pick us up at a nearby parking place and arranged a late pub meal for us, gave clear instructions to thei B&B, a lovely big farmhouse.

    The property is in a rural setting, so very quiet, with off road parking. There was a lovely courtyard, ideal for sitting out if staying in spring/summer especially. The facilities in the room were perfect, nice hot shower, beautiful cotton bedding and tasteful furnishings with a window that faced onto the patio. The breakfast was delicious and brought to the room, which was a real treat. The hosts are so friendly and helpful, I would definitely recommend it and re visit if back in the area.

    We stayed in a pretty carefully restored cottage which was cosy, warm, clean and comfortable. Everything we needed was there for our stay. The area was near to many places of interest. The information provided on the history of the local area was interesting to read. Useful to have parking. Lovely touches eg child's chair in 2nd bedroom, bean bag and retro modern technology.
