Beautiful guesthouse, good value for money and very friendly and nice owners. Coffee and bananas available all the time. Organised a very good tour with the brother, and he was very keen to set up an awesome telescopic lens for me to see and take photos of the hornbills. Very satisfied

Staying at Tangkoko Macaca was a fantastic experience. The location is perfect, just minutes from the entrance of Tangkoko National Park – and we even had black macaques wandering into the garden a few times, which was magical to witness. The accommodation was comfortable and peaceful, providing a great base for exploring the park and relaxing between tours. A special highlight of our stay was our guide, Patrick. He was incredible – deeply passionate about nature, knowledgeable, and respectful of the environment and local culture. He didn’t just help us spot wildlife – he also gave us valuable insight into the local perspective and conservation efforts, which made the experience truly meaningful. Thanks to Patrick and the rich biodiversity of the park, we saw tarsiers, a blue tarantula, black macaques, and a hornbill – it was like stepping into a real-life nature documentary. If you're looking for a comfortable place close to nature, with a guide who genuinely cares, Tangkoko Macaca is the perfect choice. I left feeling inspired and grateful.

We had a fantastic time here! Special thanks to our guide Frankie - thanks to him we saw tarsiers, cuscus and black monkeys. His tour of the park was truly magical - after meeting other tourists with guides, we realized that Frankie was a real hidden gem. And his dolphin tour exceeded all expectations! Frankie is a kind, funny and genuinely passionate person, and we are so glad that we met him. Of course, a special thanks to Rocky and the whole team - we are happy that we were lucky enough to visit you. It was unforgettable!

One of the best experiences of our trip. The staff is really lovely and Sakar is the best guide we could habe wished for going into the jungle with us. The food, the place and the welcoming people made this a really memorable stay.

Renny's Tangkoko Safety Stop offers air-conditioned accommodation in Bitung. The accommodation features airport transfers, while a bicycle rental service is also available.

Highly recommended place to stay. It is actually called Tangkoko guesthouse. The tangkoko safety shop is a place on the beach which serves delicious lunches and dinners and their guides for the jungle trip are the best: Renny and Lea. Tangkoko guesthouse works closely together with Renny 's safety shop. Pacha, the owner, of tangkoko guesthouse is very helpful and friendly. Pacha arranged a 'mobile taxi' for 30.000 rp per person to Bitung area from where you can get a grab or indrive ride to your next destination. The rooms are big, hot shower(!!!), great breakfast with omelet to set you off for your morning jungle trip. Great view from my balcony, room on the first floor, of the part.watching the birds flying. Good WiFi.

What a gem! We’ve traveled a lot, and this place has probably the most curated and naturally beautiful beach we’ve ever visited. The service is at a really high level, the staff is extremely friendly, kind and helpful. Everything is perfectly curated, and we were spoiled from the moment we stepped in. Snacks are served morning and afternoon, and we had to tell them to stop brining us (delicious) food. Main meals are fresh, locally sourced, and delicious. The manager, Toki, is highly experienced, and even took us strolling around and exploring the nearby area. He joined us several times at the table, and at the end, we felt we were part of their family. Thank you Toki, Micheal and all staff. Leaving this hidden paradise was extremely sad. We will return for sure!

Newly built bungalow - very big and super clean. Lovely family - delicious food (great for vegetarians also). Julian is an excellent and knowledgeable tour guide - hiking is great with him too. From the cottages it is about a 25 min (easy) walk to the village/beach. If not in walking mood, you will get a ride (motorbike/car). The family also arranges transfer to/from Tangkoko - very easy communication and great support.

Very close to the national park and I had an amazing guide “Roy” who worked for the accommodation! The place was very clean and there was a hot shower after the beautiful jungle trekking. The food was also very good and big portions.

Tangkoko Ranger Homestay offers accommodation in Bitung. Guests can enjoy the on-site restaurant. You will find dry cleaning services at the property.

Absolutely incredible homestay. Accommodation was spacious and comfortable. Fantastically located next to the entrance of the park. Food was extremely delicious, plentiful, varied and at a great price (wonderful vegan meals). The tours offered were absolutely brilliant; informative and professional. Our guide was exceptional and found an abundance of animals (would recommend both the day and night walks). Would definitely stay again and would completely recommend to others.
