This is a great place to stay. The rooms are very clean, pleasant and quite. The bathroom is large enough, duly clean; there is hot water. The bed is large and confortable. On each floor there is a large shared hall with a big sofa and table, as well as a well-equipped shared kitchen (with fridge, microwave oven etc.). The owner is extremely kind and helpful, the staff is very good. For breakfast you can choose between toast with butter and jam and Indian-style breakfast. There is a laundry service; you can also have some pages printed, if needed. The building is conveniently located near to beautiful Rabindra Sarobar park (to the west) and Golpark (to the north); Golpark is a nice area with lot of cafes and shops, where you can find almost everything, from SIM cards to real Darjeeling tea; there is also a Post Office. Last but not least: Uber taxi drivers easily find Lakeside Suites, and if you don’t want to use Uber, there are almost always taxis on the street in front of the entrance.

We had a wonderful time at Calcutta Bungalow! The place is like an idyllic oasis in a busy city. It is calm and clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are comfortable and nicely decorated. And the food is delicious (especially the fish curry)! Plus, we got to explore a part of town we would probably not have seen otherwise. We definitely recommend staying at the Bungalow if you are coming to Kolkata.

Originally booked for 1 night but extended to 3 nights,because of the convenience this place offers. Super close to metro and major transport hubs. Super close to tons of food outlets and cafes. Staffs are friendly and speaks English which is a big plus. They went out of their way to guide me in whatever. If anyone’s a budget traveler like me. I’m telling you this that,this place is a “good deal”.

From the moment we arrived we received outstanding care from the on-site concierge. Nothing was too much trouble - from house cleaning to laundry and help with the local food delivery services. The apartment itself is spotless and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. AC in every room, kitchen with fridge, kettle and microwave and a water filter which meant that we did not have to buy bottled water. Beds were extremely comfortable and the roof terrace was a bonus extra space to hang out in the evenings. WiFi was excellent. The location was great. You could get a cab directly to the door and it is walking distance to Ballygunge train station, a local supermarket, Gariathat and many restaurants and coffee houses. Would highly recommend!
