This cabin was pure magic. Tucked away in peaceful nature, it felt like stepping into a cozy Icelandic dream. Every detail — from the lighting to the decor to the thoughtful little touches — was clearly arranged with care. The space was spotless, warm, and welcoming, and we instantly felt at home. We only wish we had booked more nights — it was the perfect place to unwind after long days on the road. The views, the atmosphere, the comfort… everything exceeded our expectations. Our stay was extremely pleasant. Grenivik Guesthouse has been a beautiful surprise in the North of Iceland after days of camping. We would've definitely loved to stay longer to enjoy the peace, the comfort and the landscape. The house was very clean, our room was very comfortable and big enough for two, and all the common spaces were really well organized so we had our privacy but also some lovely interaction with other guests, and the hot tub has been a very pleasant extra to enjoy at sunset. But the best part of our stay was definitely Ingólfur, the host. His welcoming was very warm and kind, he was very open and helpful as a host, he gave us a lot of tips as soon as we arrived, and prepared us a really delicious breakfast with a lot of local ingredients. Ingólfur was also very kind to stay with us during our breakfast -and even longer- to talk with us about Icleand history, traditions, culture, geography and all the curiosities we had. He has a special place in our hearts.

Loved that we got to stay in a home. It felt warm and beautiful. We loved the room. We also spent some time in the hot tub on day 1 and got the most magical view of the Auroras. The house has a stellar view of a lake and mountains.

It was the best and most welcoming house we have been in Iceland. We really felt at home. The furniture and design of the house are really nice, the house was clean and the kitchen had everything needed to prepare our dinner, even some Food and services to share for all guests (not to be given for granted). You can litterally cook and relax on the sofa, watching the ocean from the windows... big garden to enjoy the sun. Perfect and easy check in with instructions.

The instruction on how to find the place and for gaining entry were clear and easy to follow.. The place was modern, well appointed and had all we needed for a 2 night stay. The view from the apt. was fantastic, both day and night. The place was a perfect temperature and the washing machine and drier were very welcome after a week of travelling. A lovely place to spend a couple of nights
