Very nice staff. Great view of the Dead Sea from the roof terrace. The hotel is approx. It is located 2.5 km from the free beach. We were there in mid-October and we met very few people on the free beach. The beach was clean and had shower facilities.

We stayed one night in this family run hotel. We wish we had stayed more. We were treated like special friends, as we noted were other guests. We stayed in a suite which had heaps of room, very comfortable bed, a large comfortable sofa, and superb silent heating/air-conditioning. Everything was sparkling clean and well maintained. Even with all that, the best aspects were the superb fixed price dinner and breakfast buffet which were the best we had in Jordan.

The Black Iris is a lovely, friendly hotel located in a quiet part of Madaba yet close to all of the attractions and restaurants. The staff is exceptional, extremely communicative and going the 'extra-mile' to make sure you are comfortable and need to get where you are going. They arranged for me both an airport pickup and a transfer to the Allenby Bridge - wonderful drivers who took the stress out of travel!
