Excellent, sparkling clean accommodation with a spacious bedroom and pleasant balcony space attached to the bedroom. Good shared kitchen, dining room and bathroom facilities. We were lucky to have no fellow guests for the first two nights of our three night stay, and never had an issue with queueine to use the bathroom. Friendly host with some spoken English, who was very generous with her time in making recommendations to us and offering travel advice. Super quiet, amazing location right in the middle of small farm plots. Would definitely stay again.

The hosts were very attentive, very kind, easy to communicate with. The home was a wonderful, historic, traditional 110 year old Japanese home. The location and atmosphere were perfect and great value!

Good location for us whilst walking the henro pilgrimage in Shikoku. Had everything we needed. Near a convenience store very handy for dinner.

This unique ryokan is perfectly situated to explore the Iya Valley from. Whether you're on foot or have a car. I travelled on foot, walking to the vine bridge which is only 4 minutes away. The bus stop it literally across the road from the entrance. Family run and very well managed. There are a few breathtakingly stunning onsens you can visit as a day visitor in the valley.

Meals were excellent, the onsen was very nice and relaxing. The hotel has everything one needs, and the atmosphere is very hospitable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The little town is tranquil and nice.

We loved everything about our stay. But if we have to single out three things it would be the unbelievably beautiful remote location of this inn with its onsen, the gourmet dinners and the kind, hospitable staff.

Located in Kasuga, 26 km from Takamatsu, Asan Kotonami features a terrace and views of the mountain. The ryokan has a hot spring bath and sauna, and guests can enjoy a meal at the restaurant.

This is a beautiful, moderately-priced ryokan in the hills of Shikoku. We had a lovely room with an private outdoor onsen bath. We had dinner the first night and the following breakfast in large dining rooms with nice views of the hills. The next dinner and breakfast were in a private dining room. The kaiseki cuisine was delicious and the staff very pleasant.

Featuring beautiful nature views from its rooftop hot spring bath, Hotel Kazurabashi offers Japanese-style rooms and a dining room where food is prepared in the hearth at the guest's table.

The meals were amazing and so was the private bath. For an extra fee you had access to a private open-air bath and it was worth every penny. This is such an amazing hotel and our room was HUGE with lots of cute snacks and little bits of local charm.
