We had an amazing time and evening with them and the other guests. We also were helped out with a vegeterian dinner since the restaurants nearby did not offer such an option. Our unexpected highlight of the trip!

Everything was exceptionally great. Very cozy place and very clean. Surrounding environment was very nice. The “woodness” inside looks great. We were two people booking the “4-Bed Mixed Dormitory Room”, we get the whole room (with bathroom and shower) even it says “bunk bed” and “dormitory”, kitchen was shared though. I would definitely come back if I have the chance.

Enjoy to stay with Hide and his wife ! Very friendly and give me some train time details ! Both of them can communicate in English. They also provide the kitchen for cooking . They own the Thai restaurant on Friday & weekend . I love their stylish toilet and their cat is so cute. Thank you !

The accommodation is a very big tradition Japanese house. The host is very friendly and interesting. You may request the host to prepare (DIY) BBQ for dinner. It is delicious and interesting, highly recommended. They heat the volcano stone to cook the BBQ.

Dinner and breakfast was exceptional. There was so much attention to detail in each dish as well as drink. Service was great, they had complimentary housemade cheese cookies and chocolates for valentines day which was lovely. They have a private onsen in each room.

Everything was perfection - starting from my arrival, public bathhouse experience, the cozy room, delicious dinner and breakfast and very kind staff members. The view of Mt. Aso from the third floor lookout and the footbath area is impeccable. Also, much special thanks to Mr. Isao Tsugayasu, who was extremely helpful and kind to us throughout the stay! Hotel staff are very nice. We felt like very warm welcomed. They offerred great food, comfort room 1st class service, and free ride to bus station in the end.

I had an absolutely wonderful time at this homestay. The owners are very generous and the rooms are great. You also have a beautiful view Aso mountain. The breakfast is very large you have everything from fruits, cakes/bread, salad and some yummy savoury pizza like things. They only recently opened so please come by and enjoy their wonderful hospitality. You won't regret it.
