The only downside was that there was only one elevator, which could sometimes be crowded during peak hours, but its speed made up for it. The washing machines and dryers were cleaned every day and were inexpensive (¥200 to wash and ¥100 for 30 minutes in the dryer).

Gorgeous stay, one of my favourites so far. Lovely welcoming staff, explained everything and offered information booklets in English. Nice, spacious tatami room, pristine clean and with that aromatic tatami smell. The futon was comfortable and the pillow had a husk and a soft side. The facilities were amazing. Very spacious restaurant with delicious kaiseki offer and selection of local nihonchu. The large bath outside with the snow was very relaxing and a beautiful experience. The hotel shop was very well stocked with souvenirs but also drinks and snacks (great ice cream and mochi selection by the way). A very relaxing and easy stay, perfect to slow
