Big and clean rooms in which you can relax and a great private onsen. Very beautiful garden, which is probably even better in summer. The food was also really good, especially the dinner and it was nice that they offered a vegetarian option.

A great place for a rest stop before returning to Mishima or Tokyo. The hotel and rooms are well decorated with great art and pottery pieces. The provision of drinks and snacks during the check-in process is a nice touch. Coffee and tea are also available after breakfast for enjoyment of Mt Fuji view at the rest area. The kaiseki dinner and breakfast are exquisite in quality and varieties for the room rates. The beds are low(er) than usual and therefore it is very convenient and comfortable to get on and off. The 3 private onsens available for personal/family use are great for those who prefer some privacy. For those who need some last minute shopping, a supermarket and Daiso is just round the corner.

Overall The hotel was absolutely incredible. A great ryokan experience with extremely friendly and courteous staff who often went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience. We were served by Sora Tatebayashi who was absolutely incredible and extremely helpful and everyone at the hotel was friendly and thoughtful. If you are looking for a great ryokan experience with amazing onsens and facilities, I highly recommend Hotel Tenbo and make sure to get the room with the mountain view! View and location A truly breathtaking view of Mt Fuji from our room. Highly recommended to stay in the room with the mountain view. The location was great and was very close to the Izu panorama park and the hotel also offers drop off and pick up at Igu Nagoaka Station. Staff and service The service at the hotel was excellent and the staff were always keen to help and were so thoughtful and always willing to go above and beyond to deliver the best service possible, which was truly appreciated.

A beautiful Japanese ryokan experience. We loved the private and public onsens - so relaxing. The staff were very helpful and made their best effort to accommodate our requests even with the language barrier (we don't speak any Japanese). Our room was spacious and comfortable, and the surrounding hills and walking trails were lovely to explore.

We booked a room with an outdoor spa. The room was big and the spa was the highlight. The included buffet breakkie and dinner was also really great, too. There were great selection of meal and drinks (sake, beer, soda, teas). The staffs were great and accomodating. They also provide free selection of yukata to wear in the property. Ample of parking and about 3-5 mins drive to nearby conbinis if needed. There's also a public onsen if you book a room wihout the outdoor bath. Overall, we loved staying here and would totally recommend if you're looking to explore Izu area but don't want to go further down and still within an hour away from Hokane, Gotemba or Shizuoka.
