The place was all class. The architectural beauty was unmatched by any hotel I stayed at in Japan. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. They did not always get it right but by golly, they got everything right all in all. The food was exemplary and the onsen was good. I plan to go back.

Beautiful property and lovely couple! We had been hiking in the rain and were soaking wet, they let us dry our boots in the sauna, which we were extremely grateful for!

Excellent dinner and breakfast from the owner himself. Love the view and scenery from the top . Lovely stay and owner! Hope to be able to stay longer than 1 day. very recommended away from the city.

Very friendly, helpful staff. Comfortable room with lovely view of the river. Easy to get a taxi from the station in heavy rain on our arrival and enjoyed the walk to the station through the town to catch trains to our walks. Breakfast and dinner were very good and they cooked a special vegetarian dinner.

Terrible . No air conditioning. A tiny room with just enough room for 4 Japanese style beds next to each other. My feet even touched the table. I knew Japan was usually cramped, but I couldn't imagine it could be this small. This was my mistake. Never coming back to this area!

Yugo the manager and all the staff where so helpful. Even picked us up directly from the supermarket. There is a free shuttle to the station back and forth. The hotel has an amazing onsan!!! We loved finishing our day in the hot water. Free coffee or tea 24/7. Very big room.
