This is a golden spot! The house is worth a visit itself. It is traditionallly renovated, clean och simply beautiful in a calm and non-touristy area of south-west Izu. The host is so welcoming and kind, and we had dinner at her friends' little restaurant just next door - our best Tonkatsu we've had. It is recommended to travel here by car, but bikes are available for use during the stay. All we can say is: make sure not to miss this. 10 out of 10!

We have never experienced this kind of luxury in our lives….. this place and environment totally blew our minds! We had te luxury to stay in the villa, and exceeded all our expectations. The views, the pool, the sauna, the hotspring tub, the fireplace, the BBQ… it was more than enough to really end our holiday totally relaxed! We were supposed to go to Tokyo the last 3 days of our holiday, but we where glad that we canceled that, and went to Shikuoka instead! The falls and wasabi fields and hikes nearby were great excursions, and then come back to the villa was a real dream! Also there were no other guests, so we had the whole place for ourselves…. The owners were very friendly and helpful. We also booked dinner at their restaurant and it was an exceptional meal. They were also able to cater to special dietary needs. The house was very clean and modern with so many thoughtful touches, making it feel cosy and practical. We really enjoyed our stay and would love to come back. There is also free parking and shops and restaurants are within walking distances. A great location to discover Dogashima bay and go for scenic cliff walks nearby.
