We had here the most wholesome stay during our 3 weeks trip through Japan. We felt like home here and to think that we found this place by coincidence and since it was quite late, we didn't want to return to Nagano and everything was soo expensive around Togakushi, we found this gem and we were so glad we did! It was truely magical. Thank you Suji, Hanako for the amazing souls you are and the opportunity you give to share this nice house, surrounding and warmth of your home. And the joy of their amazing dog Miro, was the cherry on the top. Namaste!

This is a wonderful traditional Japanese house. It's clean, quiet and very comfortable. The location is a little bit outside the city but only about 10-15 minutes walking to the temple and center. I recommend this place highly!

It is less than five minute walk from JR Nagano station. If you plan to rent a car, you can use easily a parking lot next to the hotel. The fee for using a parking lot is mostly covered by the hotel. (time limit)

The room was spacious for Japan standards, we stayed for 4 nights and it was very comfortable for our family of 3. We booked the twin room with sofa bed. Free parking and evening snacks/coffee/tea was wonderful. I also brought my child to the onsen and we had fun.

The rooms were really big and quiet, the bed was comfortable, the location is unbelievably good, the staff were really nice (Mitsuko san even took me to the doctor when I got sick!) The food was great (and vegetarian too!). Just a very nice place. Oh and they give you a ticket so your parking is free at one of the local car parks!

We loved this ryokan, our son wanted to stay longer than our one night. Authentic, charming and very clean. The tea and kimonos were waiting in the room and the owners were so attentive and always on hand to help. Lots of duvets and blankets allowing us to adjust temperature during the night. Very centrally located right down the street from Zenkoji and with parking right across the road in a private car park for 500 yen.

Very comfortable hotel next to the train station, in a lively area with many bars and restaurants. The hotel is very clean, and the staff is very friendly. We really enjoyed the breakfast, which was varied, well-presented, and had healthy options. The hotel offers free parking, but only until 10 am; after that time, there is a charge per hour. My kids enjoyed the amenities offered and also the free welcome drink upon arrival.
