The hosts were super friendly and welcoming. The guesthouse has a nostalgic flare, lots of wood, great atmosphere. We had ordered a veggie dinner and breakfast, and all was home made and good. We arrived after dark and after hours of rain on our motorbikes, and the hosts let us dry our gear in the main room which is much appreciated. // Our host also told us about the mountain road ahead which is forbidden for motorcycles. We were gutted but very happy he told us so we could plan our next day accordingly. // I would certainly stay again!

Incredible traditional house, it was like a dream, a jump in time. A bit cold in winter but the (big) room was warm, extra soft blanket, comfortable futon. Just like in the pictures.

If you wish to immerse yourself in a true Japanese experience then this is the hotel for you. Everyone walks around in their Japanese pjs, no shoes allowed inside and the onsen is wonderful - especially the private one. Staff are very friendly and helpful. There are also icecreams, beef skewers and ramen as treats! We loved our experience

Fabulous guest house, spacious and really well set up. Hosts very responsive and incredibly generous with time and suggestions. They even drove us to a restaurant as it was raining. Local suggestions were SPOT ON. We requested room change and they immediately accommodated. Can't fault anything. Love it. INCREDIBLY CLEAN TOO!
