More then 500 years onsen was first esperience in my life also we enjoyed first time private onsen with my husband .We had breakfast and diner served in room and it was unforgettable , especially egg cooked in onsen! This was our third visit to Japan, and we always wanted to try a traditional ryokan. Oyado Tamaki surpassed our expectations ! The level of attention to detail was amazing. Everything was impeccable. The tatami beds were super comfortable. Dinner and breakfast were an experience on its own, definitely a feast for the senses (they catered to our meatless request, everything was delicious). The staff was friendly and attentive and made us feel royal (domo arigato gozaimashita Okami san, domo arigato Kobayashi!)

Amazing location, wonderful atmosphere! Very clean and well prepared, we were left snacks and drinks by the host and felt so excited and welcome there. Amazing value for money too, would definitely recommend staying here! The walk into the centre of town is about half an hour because of the very steep hill leading down to the house which you have to walk up to get out, but it is not any reason not to stay here if that’s feasible for you.

This place was an unexpected surprise. From the get go, the service was absolutely amazing. The room was spacious, decent view, great air conditioning, plenty of outlets as well to charge devices, and they even brought up our luggage that we had delivered from Sapporo for us. We were able to also book a private open air onsen as well with the option of sake. It was an amazing experience. We choose to have dinner from the hotel and it was amazing to. It did not disappoint. This was my first Ryokan onsen experience and I loved it.

Lovely spacious room, and clean hot springs. The hot springs are open all through the night, so if you want to go in at 4am, you can! The staff were friendly, and the location has lovely views across valleys.

The location was great as it was close to a variety of shops and restaurants. The onsens were very relaxing, clean and comfortable. The staff are very polite, helpful and friendly. The rooms are a great size and very clean. The breakfast menu was delicious and served in a big dining room overlooking the beautiful autumn trees.

Location was superb. Not too pricey either, considering I booked the night before! It was a nice stop as I had been on a 5 day road-trip, and this was in between 2 locations for me, which made it convenient to stay at and rest. There is a Lawson across the street, as well as a ramen place. They have a great restaurant downstairs.
