The location couldn’t be better just on the main attraction street and a short walk from the museum on one side or the town center on the other. Spacious Traditional room with comfortable futon and great bathroom. There was also a public bath which was lovely at the end of the day to relax. We had one evening meal there and the food was nice. Staff was very kind (even with our turbulent toddler)

My stay at Dark Horse was one of the best I have had in my whole 1 month trip to Japan. The house is very warm and welcoming, you feel like you are living at a friends’ house. Andy and his staff were very nice, and drove me and the other guests to many nice locations, including and outstanding onsen. Dinner and breakfast were very good. The beds were very comfy.

Our stay at Yadoya-Shiroganeya was nothing short of magical. Firstly, the house itself is beautiful and incredibly well kept. It's like stepping into a time machine but also with some modern conveniences. Secondly, Maki-San, the host, is wonderful. She's warm and welcoming and communicates very well in English. We had such a good time learning about the house, its history, and also about herself and how she runs the place. Thirdly, the food. I cannot stress enough how much of a culinary experience this is. The food served by Maki and her mother is exceptional. Locally-sourced and impeccably prepared, we had everything from fresh sashimi, seasonal vegetables, local beef, tempura, and soba noodles. It was honestly one of the best meals we had in Japan! The food alone makes price justifiable, never mind the rest of the experience. An absolute highlight of our trip, we'd love to stay with Maki again one day.

Kazenoko is super comfortable and warm, and the facilities are all really nice especially the bathrooms. Toshi the innkeeper is really friendly and helpful and can often give you a lift or pick you up if you need it.

Raumu San-so has mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking, set in Omachi, 22 km from Tsugaike Kogen Ski Area. This 2-star guest house offers luggage storage space and a shared lounge.

The hosts were an amzing couple that tried to make you feel really at home and the food was amazingly delicious.

2nd time visit, the onsen water quality is the best. Surrounding by many good restuarants that open until late night. Best for relaxing with family. The facility is good, we slept well and enjoy our trips.

This was our favourite stay in Japan! The house was beautiful, spotless, and very comfortable — it instantly felt like home. The location was perfect, and everything was clearly labelled and thoughtfully explained, which made our stay so easy and enjoyable. We also appreciated the little touches like the provided coffee, tea, and other essentials. The host was incredibly responsive and helpful, going above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. We truly loved our time here and hope to come back one day.
