We truly enjoyed our stay at Samarai House. The house is even more beautiful in reality — a perfect blend of traditional Japanese charm and modern comfort. Matt and Ikumi are outstanding hosts who went above and beyond to make our stay a memorable and unique experience. They showed us around, helped us organize our trips, and shared many fascinating stories about Japanese culture and local life. There are also wonderful cultural activities available, such as tea ceremonies and calligraphy lessons, which made it possible to experience Japanese traditions firsthand. The internet connection was impressively fast, which was a pleasant surprise. Overall, it was an unforgettable stay, and we would love to come back someday!

The overall stay was great! Very classy furnishing and it is also walking distance to the castle ruins. There is one huge room so even baby could run around just in the room alone. Host was very hospitable. Lots of supplies were provided, which we appreciated, like bananas, cereal, milk etc. Heaters were also already on when we arrived.
