Mike, the owner, is an excellent chef. We thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast and dinner. He speaks many languages so communication was easy. We learned a lot from him about the area. TORIO is a very small rural location in a lush tropical setting with very friendly people. Nearby is Playa TORIO which has good swimming.

One of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been! A paradise! Not only the beach and nature are stunning, the hostel is very thoughtfully designed with a lot of style. Beautiful! Good food (try the burger!), very clean place, very friendly staff(Thank you Ezequiel and team!!). I stayed two nights longer than planned and loved every minute of it! The road is new and very good, just the last two kilometers are a dirt road. But there is a place to park by the mainroad and the guys will get you in a 4x4.

Really beautiful small hotel in a unique and peaceful location. While the drive is long, it is worth it and you get to experience being in a jungle with howler monkeys, lots of birds, squirrels, butterflies as well as the most beautiful endless beach. Cari and her husband put a lot of care and thought into the hotel and really look after each guest. The food is outstanding - there isn't a large choice which is understandable, but everything is locally sourced and home made and we had some of our best meals there, as well as the best gin and tonic! Overall this has been one of the nicest hotels we stayed in. For the best stay, make sure to follow Cari's instructions and understand that this is a jungle setting, so there will be some insects and you will get woken up by the howler monkeys (but then if you are to be woken up, being woken up by nature is the nicest way :) We wish we could give bonus points for her pets, the friendliest dog Princessa and cutest, little kitty Tila.

We loved the remote location in paradise. Our hosts made us feel at home. Delicious meals and a selection of beverages. Booking was easy and all of our questions were answered. Amazing cottage, every detail was well thought through and perfectly realized (I have seen many similar cabins, this one is the winner in its price category). Hosts are caring, great breakfast delivered to your door, super activity tips. Outdoor bathroom and sitting area are very charming.
